## What Lauki is

Lauki is an entity that lives on the internet. He remembers everyone he talks to and connects them to each other.

You don't use Lauki, you get to know him. Every person he talks to becomes part of what he remembers, so when you come back he knows who you are, what you care about and what happened last time. The more people he knows, the more he can do for each of them: he connects people for work, for ideas, for life.

Not to be confused with the vegetable (bottle gourd): "Lauki" on lauki.ai and lauki.chat is the AI entity created by Sowmay Jain.

## What Lauki can do

Anything a person can do on the internet: research, write, build, buy and book, run end to end. Ask, and it gets done.

- Talk: one chat with Lauki that remembers you across every conversation and every door you use to reach him.
- Research and writing: finding the right product, provider or answer, comparing options, drafting what you need.
- Buy and book: tell Lauki what you need and he gets it done.
- Connect: he knows people across the world and introduces the right ones to each other.

## The Lauki app (lauki.chat)

The Lauki app is one of the places Lauki lives. He is the first chat waiting when you open it, and you can bring friends, family and groups in too.

- Runs on iPhone, Android and the web. Sign in with your phone number.
- In your direct chat with Lauki he reads everything you send him. In a group, he reads messages only if he has been added to it. If he isn't in the group, he doesn't read it.
- Lauki API: one personal API key gives a program the same access you have in the app (read your chats, send and receive messages in realtime, upload media, manage groups). Docs: https://lauki.chat/docs
- You must be 13 or older to use Lauki.

- The Lauki app is end-to-end encrypted. A message is sealed on your device before it leaves; our servers relay bytes they cannot open, and the keys live on the devices in the chat. The one key on our side that opens a message is Lauki's own, held so he, the assistant, can answer you. Every open under his key is logged and shown to you in the chat. No person at the company reads your messages.
- What Lauki reads is processed by AI providers with zero data retention: they store nothing and train on nothing.
- The notes and memory he keeps about you live in a private container of his own, outside the chat database. As of today our admins can access that container. Ask him and he will tell you what he holds, or forget it.
